What is the purpose of Organic Garden Lime?
Asked by Sweets April 15, 2021It is used to raise the pH of soil. If your soil is too acidic, many garden plants have difficulty growing. I apply lime in the fall, after testing the pH, so that there is time for the pH to stabilize before I plant in the spring. I try to aim for 5.5-7. Don’t use it on acid loving plants, such as blueberries.

can this product be used on bermuda lawn, or will it harm grass?
Asked by redd July 8, 2020You want the pH of the soil to be between 6-6.5 for best results. Do a soil pH test to determine if you need to raise the pH. If you do, this lime is safe. Don’t use lime if the pH is higher than 6.5 (i.e. 7.0 or higher).
