You want to correct the issue with clay first by mixing products like peat moss to break up clay along with tilting the soil. Once the issue is resolved, you can use this product as long as lavender calls for acidic soil

How much do I need for a 50x50 garden

Thank you for your question. Please see the following for a broadcast rate or use as a fertilizer. Broadcast Rate: Apply 12 lbs. per 100 sq. ft. for each one point reduction in soil pH desired. For heavy clay soils increase rate to 15 lbs. Gradual reduction in soil pH is preferred as dramatic reduction can result in stress. As a Fertilizer: Apply 1/2 cup per 100 square feet (1 tablespoon per plant) around the root zone

Thank you all for your feedback. our city water has probably a lot of chlorine in it (from how it smells). I keep the water in a bucket for a day before watering the plant and I add a little of apple vinegar to the water as well. I will try dissolving this soil acidifier in water before adding. Any how for all others trying to lower soil PH, do not waste your money with Peat Moss. Did anybody tried using Aluminum Sulfate along with this soil acidifier?

If your chlorosis is related to alkalinity it could help. The acidifier may allow the tree to more easily access the nutrients it needs. Just before the leaves turn color and fall is maybe not the best time to tell if it works or not

I used this on my potted blueberries 1 week ago and the PH is still 8! Should I use it again?

Hi Mamab603, You need to repot your blueberries. If you recently planted them. Dump everything out, open up the root mass from the bottom and replant using pine bark or soil conditioner and peat moss. If you have available, you also can use Douglas fir sawdust. Use no compost under or around plants. If the plants are older. Carefully dig out the plants. Dump out most of the material and use the above ingredients. Your PH is way out of line. Hopefully your meter is not faulty. You are looking for ph 4.5-5.5... You will not be able change from ph 8 to ph 4.5. It would take years to make that kind of adjustment. Good luck

Can this be used for vegetables??

Yes, but be careful most vegetables do not like acidic soil, and it may affect calcium levels, but I am not sure.
