A:  Yes you can that's what I use with it 3/16 coated cable.

    by|May 18, 2021

A:  This pulley can be used with a steel cable; the weight capacity is 420 lbs., so 180 lbs. will be safe. Please make sure the working load of the steel cable matches or exceeds this pulley.

A:  Yes but what matters even more are the caribeners you’ll use to attach the cable to a hard top. I put mine to lift 200 pounds on a squat rack.

        by|Jan 14, 2021

A:  Kinda depends on the angle you would be putting it at. The more wheel you use (as in pulling downward) the better off you will be. It would work if you had 1-at each corner. Total of 4. If not you may want to use a bigger one.

A:  3/8" is the max recommended size and that's a glove fit. Go to the 2" pulley

A:  No. You will either need to use a larger (wider) pulley or a smaller rope.

This single pulley does the trick perfectly if your needing a heavy duty pulley to lift upto 400lbs. Installation was very easy just hang the pulley from whatever your looking to hang and pull the pin on it take the wheel off load your rope or cable place the pin back in and you are ready to roll! I installed it in my garage on a rope to be able to hang items in the back portion of my garage and slide it from side to side. The pulley appears to be made heavy duty and should last many years!

The Everbilt 1-1/2 in. Zinc-Plated Rigid Single Pulley is a sturdy, high quality pulley. Zinc coated to resist corrosion, this pulley can withstand the elements. Even though it's only a 1-1/2' pulley, it has a 420 lb working load limit, which it very good for a pulley this size. That speaks volumes for the quality of its construction. The uses for these are limitless. Since I have 11' ceilings in my garage, I am going to use four of these along with a hand crank to raise and lower a wooden platform I am building for extra storage.

Everbilt always well built, and they make a thing with no short cuts and thus they are always durable. The product is well prices too. The pulley works fine and it is a great help for lifting the weight and thus it will ease your body fatigue. Since it is zinc plated, it is corrosion free and can be used in wet or humid locations. 420 lbs is a lot of weight that this small pull can handle. I like it and I sure do recommend it.

                Cheaply made
These are really cheaply made. Go buy National Hardware N195-800 3213BC pulley instead. It's only a few dollars more and MUCH better quality. Home Depot made a mistake selling cheaper made products instead of sticking with quality for a few bucks more.

The load capacity is excellent. I bought a pair to hand antenna wire. I hope the finish holds up under all sorts of weather. I already have some of these pulleys. They are easy to access for rope. They do have too much space inside and I add washers due to size of my rope to keep them from slipping off pulley wheel.
