Yes, you can cut it to length with a hacksaw or sawzall. It's fairly thin. Good to go as long as the cut edge doesn't show.

I cut mine in about half, then made short hinges from the remnants. Yes, the pin did slide on the shorter pieces, but a slight crimp on each end of the hinge using my vice held the pin in place without effecting the function of the hinge.
