Versatile material for reinforcement or bracing. This sturdy piece of steel arrived straight and undamaged. I used part of it to reinforce the lid mounting points of a stamped steel BBQ grill to cure the flex that was breaking it at the hinges. The rest was used to make a cross brace for a portable scaffold unit to make it steadier. This is strong stuff but can be cut with a hack saw and holes can be drilled though I would suggest using some cutting fluid to prevent overheating the drill bit. The edges are well finished and not rough. See picture below

Nice piece of steel. I ordered it mainly to cut to a specific length to support and beef up my tractor's tow bar. Also to practice my welding a bit. It’s plenty thick for other projects that come up weather for my cars or other mechanicals, bracing, ductwork, doors and heaters - there are plenty of uses and good to have around. Delivered with no rust.

nice weldable steel.
made a metal cutting table from the 11/2in flat stock. all the steel has to be lined up about 2inchs apart with no high spots. the torch rides 1/16inch above . this steel was even enough for very little grinding. none were bent welds good.
