Questions & Answers

Is it okay to join this PVC pipe to polypropylene using PVC cement?

The picture on the box in the store shows this as an extension to the other drain systems, which are all made of PP (polypropylene). When I applied purple primer to the pipes, it runs right off the PP like it’s not compatible. I tried using the PVC cement anyway, and it seems to be setting up ok, but I want to be sure.
