As for the fit, Copper works well. If jointing with solder, it is a MUST to clean all areas of contact.

this copper elbow is the most fantastic copper elbow I have ever used. after soldering it into place and turning on the water, it did not leak and it did divert the water from the right direction to a downward direction. it seemed that the water pressure was not bothered by this elbow. overall, I would highly recommend this elbow to anyone who is in the market for 90 degree turns!

With one end fitting inside of another fitting and the other end taking pipe, I was able to make a close elbow with room for a union. Copper was fairly smooth and soldered (and resoldered) quite well.

The fittings were in good shape and soldered up nice. I wish they were less expensive, but such is the new norm in 2020.
