Does the job on a brand new french door. Getting the hinge out was the tough part - in the end used a nail punch and just hammered it out, then slipped this nifty gadget on. The hinge won't go completely down now due to the thickness of the stop, but it's adequate. I put one of those clear 1/2" bumper stickers on the wall in case the plastic head hits it extra hard with an aggressive door open. The plastic head tilts when open fully, but it holds

Simple and effective door stop that doesn’t affect your baseboards. The Everbilt Satin Nickel Hinge Pin Door Stop (model # 15586) is an easy way to add a door stop without drilling a hole in your baseboards or having something in the way when you vacuum along the edge of the baseboard. Simply tap the top hinge pin out, then insert the pin through the door stop (plastic “foot” to the door, adjuster towards the door frame), and drop the combined pin/stop back into the hinge. Finally, rotate the adjuster to set how far the door can open. Done! One caveat - You can put a lot of torque on this door stop by nature of its location at the hinge. If you push hard enough on the door, something will break - it could make a hole in a hollow core door, dent the molding, and eventually snap with enough force. This is not saying it’s a bad product! It’s just inherent in the design. So if your household has people that slam doors open, etc, then a baseboard-mounted stop might be preferable. Otherwise this is functional and unobtrusive.

        Does the job
Was able to let my door open only 90° and it still had more adjustment to go. Put one on the top and the bottom hinges to keep the door from twisting

The opening was too small for the hinge bolts on my old doors … and the quality of the item was not a durable one.

The hinge exceeded my expectations. I wanted something discreet but function and I got it! It’s easy to install and has been great for maintaining my pristine wall. I love it!

Much Better Than The Floor Kind
I much prefer these over the stops that you commonly find screwed into baseboards, since those often get hit by the vacuum or people walking by, etc. These simply go on a hinge and are great for tight areas.
