Our experts can be reached at 844-883-1872 and they would be more than willing to help trouble shoot your entire system. Making sure there are no leaks, a foot valve is being used, and so on. These pumps can be difficult to install correctly, however we do offer some "how to" videos or the BILT app for step by step instructions. Please contact us so we can provide additional assistance. Thanks.

This is a heavy Everbilt 1hp plastic lawn sprinkler pump used to pump water from a nearby pond or well to water your lawn or garden. There is a lot to this in my opinion. You have to clean all attaching surfaces with small grit sander paper to take the glaze off. Then use a cleaning solution before you put glue on both surfaces then attach quickly. I can't vouch for the longevity of this product as I've only owned it for a month but I will update accordingly. So far I recommend the product.

Overall for the money this 1 HP plastic lawn sprinkler pump by Everbilt is a good deal. I will be replacing an older pump that I have had for years without any issues and is made from metal so I hope that this "plastic" model can match the durability of my old one. Not sure why they feel the need to clearly point this out in the title of this pump as I would think that it would raise a flag with some people. Only time will tell how it holds up. It does seem to be heavy duty though.

Plastic sprinkler/irrigation high capacity pump. Everbilt offers this 1 HP pump. It feels well constructed but we haven't installed it until the freezing temps have passed. States it can pump 3,300 GPH and can lift water up to 20 feet. Made of fiberglass reinforced thermoplastic components. Designed for irrigation and sprinkler systems. Pump can be installed with 115 volt or 230 volt systems. Pump is self priming after the first prime/fill. Reading through installation instructions this should be a medium difficulty job this spring. I have read that it is a bit noisy so we will install it further from the house than we originally planned. Weighs 34.40 lbs.

I am tired of paying the city for water that is used to water my yard. I have been looking for an irrigation pump to pull the water from a lake that borders my property and use that source to water the yard - I selected this 1 hp pump for my project. Prior to the full installation and plumbing into the existing sprinkler system (I know that it needs to be isolated from the city water supply) I wanted to test the pump for volume, pressure and noise level. I set it up to pull water from the pool with a 2” suction line and discharging back into the pool through two 1.5” lines – see pictures. I was happy with the volume it pushed through but not so much with the noise level. I now plan on building an enclosure for the pump just to help keep the noise level down – trying not to draw too much attention to my project and knowing how sound travels over water, an enclosure sounded like a good remedy. A couple of points on the pump itself – it’s switchable between 115 and 230 volts with an ampere rating of 18.5 and 9.25 respectively. Make sure your circuit breaker is sized accordingly. At that amperage it is expected to generate a fair amount of heat in the motor which I experienced. I let it run for about an hour and it got very hot to the touch but not more so than my pool pump. You will need a foot valve or a check valve depending on your configuration to maintain the prime between watering intervals. There are height and distance restrictions shown in the documents under “Info & Guides” on The Home Depot website product page. A real nice feature was a 3rd party smartphone App from Bilt (available from Apple or Google App stores) which showed an animated video on the installation and operation of the pump – this is the first time I had seen this type of App. Overall, I am happy with this pump and will be doing the permanent install shortly.

Having a automatic irrigation system for your home landscaping is a must where I live because of the heat and lack of rain at times. So my system has 3 zones, front, side and back using city water which at times gets expensive. A well water system is my option using the EVERBILT 1 HP PLASTIC LAWN SPRINKLER PUMP. The motor is made out of metal and the pump part is plastic. The motor can switched for 110v or 230v and most timers the same.

    Super pump!
I needed a pump that can pull water from a small stream behind my house to water my lawn. This was the perfect solution. I made a small pump house to hold this pump and my solenoids for my sprinkler system. A big plus is that its self priming and delivers plenty of pressure to each of my sprinkler heads. One key component is to remember using filter basket to prolong the life of the pump. Overall this is a great pump if you plan on using a stream, rain water collection or if you want to store/boost your sprinkler system. Its been reliable and surprisingly pretty quite.

Play attention to Performance Data and Installation Instructions
These pumps have had mixed reviews. As someone who works with all types of pumps it is important to pay close attention to the Performance Data and the Installation Instructions. The higher the pump has to lift the water from the source the less pressure it has on the discharge. If you ask it to send a high GPM and/or pressure out it needs to be closer to the water level or be of a higher motor HP. Also, The check valve is important to keep the pump primed during off cycles. A basket strainer on the inlet must be used to keep large size particulate out of the impeller. Pump impellers are not magic. They work like an airplane propeller except they are enclosed. They pull water in from a low pressure generated by the expulsion of water from the tips. If any object hits the impeller it is like throwing a rock at a fan and expect no detrimental effects. I have not had the opportunity to install this product yet, but I believe if I follow the instructions properly it will work fine.

Don't worry about the plastic parts
Reason you don't need to worry about plastic parts going bad is because the motor won't last long enough for that to happen. I've gone through several of these and they typically last between two and three years tops. This last one lasted about a year and a half and that's it. I can only conclude that they are deliberately designing them to fail.
