AnswersYes they will. What I purchase was great for my chairs. you have to be very careful on how the bottom of the chair legs are designed.
What's the max weight? I'm looking to protect carpet from 5000lb stack of free standing shelves.

Answersnot sure of the max - but holding up with sofa and 275 lb brother using the recliner part of the sofa regularly! manufacturer could probably give a better weight max

AnswersI'm not aware of any silicone in the product. It seems to be some compressed fiber with a peal and stick surface on one side.

I used the heavy duty self adhesive pads on the Chiaro Travertine tiles that I also purchased at Home Depot. I made coasters out of them and I thought this would protect furniture that it would be placed on. For added strength, I used E6000 to glue them down. I think it will make it easier to move the coasters along as well. Quite pleased with this product. It comes in different thicknesses as well.

We just replaced the carpeting in our house with wood flooring. And as you can imagine, all the wood furniture either had no protective feet, or plastic feet which still have the potential to leave scratches.
These little 1 inch felt disks are a life saver. Just peel off the back and stick them on the bottom of pretty much any surface. No scratches on your floors.

While the pads work well for furniture seldomly being moved, they are not good for furniture constantly moving, like every day chairs for breakfast. The pads will come out and the glue will make a big mess on your floor. Recently gave up on those pads and replaced them with the nailed ones.
