OK for caging flowers
We bought this to make cages for some tall flowers that wouldn't stand up. It works OK for that purpose if you double it over in the middle. Fortunately there's a line of wire down the middle that you can fold it along. The double thickness of chicken wire can stand up on its own and doesn't look too obtrusive.

How much is there to say about chicken wire? Its fine. Although I don't have any chickens, I do have an abundance of deer eating my flowers. My solution is to make a chicken wire cloche, 2 of them really. Hope I can get the second one to match the first. This is my first endeavor with chicken wire crafting!

Great for protecting a new tree sapling from deer in our yard. I was able to wrap this in two levels, making a 6 foot high barrier for a new apple tree from Home Depot. I staked the fence 2.5 feet apart, meaning 10 feet per wrap, with 5 feet left over. The stakes are 1x2 wood with a point cut on them.
The next day, after planting my apple tree and building my fence, my wife shot this photo of a disappointed deer! Exactly what I wanted.

It was the perfect gauge for flexibility. Easy to bend but sturdy enough to keep the shape on a frame, this chicken wire was great for my project. I've had it exposed to rain and cold for a few weeks and it does not seem to be rusting or becoming brittle.

I needed a lightweight barrier for my 2nd floor patio to keep my cat from falling off while he's bird watching and this was easy and sturdy without being an eyesore, you can barely see it. My father always used poultry netting around his garden to keep the rabbits out so I'm glad they still make this.
