I just replaced my old tarp as it was worn out. Being whipped by the wind and exposure to UV rays take their toll on these tarps but I got about a year and a half out of the last one and considering the price I was happy with the length of time it lasted. It is used for an enclosure for my portable generator.

This tarp has deteriorated extremely fast. I purchased it in April, 2019. It’s hardly usable after about 6 months and I need it through the winter. It hangs off the rear of a boat dock to protect from rain. It is extremely thin, worn and even starting to spit it some areas. Calling this heavy duty is a joke.

September 2019, I bought this heavy duty tarp to replace a blue medium duty tarp that had fallen apart over the previous four months. Once I was on the roof nailing this new tarp into position I started to find quarter sized holes in the tarp and one grommet missing. Rather than tear it off and return it, I patched it with duct tape and completed the installation under threatening skies. Rained hard this morning. Standing below the tarp, in the garage but under the hole that was patched, I could feel a fine mist of water penetrating the tarp.

Purchased this product on May 19, 2019. We used it to cover an outdoor sofa so that the cushions would not be exposed to the elements. Seemed to be decent quality at first; however, after just 3.5 months in action (just outside the 90-day return window), the tarp has several 6-8 inch rips in the fabric (see pictures). No one has ever sat on the tarp, the tarp was not hit by any falling objects (tree branches, etc.), we simply noticed the rip upon putting it back on the sofa today. I guess our use was more than this "heavy duty" tarp could endure. Buyer beware.

We really wanted to like this tarp as it fit our specific needs, but the quality isn't there. We used it to cover some equipment on a trailer and it lasted 38 days before it split and shredded all over. "Heavy Duty Tarps" should be able to handle outdoor elements longer than that shouldn't they? Not at all satisfied!

Absolute terrible quality. Such a disappointment & waste of money. I have purchased lesser priced tarps which performed much better & lasted multiple times longer than this overpriced tarp. This tarp disintegrated within weeks. Do not waste your money. Unfortunately, I waited a month & 1/2 before putting up this tarp & therefore by the time I realized the defective quality it was too late to get my money back from either the manufacturer or HD. Hope this review assists other buyers.

Nice heavy weight material resists blowing away. Great rubber holes to tie down. Rubber is better for wet climates because it doesn’t rust and rot like the metal fastener holes. I would recommend this product.
