Steel construction and zinc plated. Should last decades for indoor use. Very well made and can take what you give them. No pre drilling required into wood. Just a little tap to get it started and use a pick screw driver to twist them in. Most standard power tools would be too much torque for something this small. Perfect for stringing lights, small diameter rope, or fishing line

#212 eye hooks are 3/8" OD and 1/4" ID and are 1" long end to end. The threaded area is 7/16" long is 1/8" in diameter.
These are good for wood or plastic but don't hold well in drywall due to the 1/8" diameter size, they just don't have enough to bite and hold.
The zinc plating should weather "OK" but over time even zinc plating can rust.
Overall a good SMALL eye hook.
