The number of hinges depends on the weight of the door. In most cases it’s one spring hinge placed in the middle position.
With the pin hole installed up, turn the Allen wrench (supplied) to the right (counter clockwise). The stamped wording should be right side up if you install it this way.
Hi, it shouldn't , it's spring loaded, and hinge is adjustable, if spring looses it's tension you can add more tension by removing pin, use Allen wrench to tighten or loosen to your preference. Hope this helps.
Just one per package.
No
Turn the Allen wrench in the opposite diectin you want the door to swing. Keep wrench tensioned and then insert the locking pin. So turn clockwise (to wind up the spring) to make door close or counter clockwise to make the door open. I had to take the hinge back off to get the locking pin out when I adjusted the wrong way. The instructions are annoyingly not specific on the direction. Hope that helps.
Yes, one adjustable spring door hinge is usually sufficient in most cases. It should also be placed as the middle hinge. More can be used for heavier doors.
You can, but parts will go flying and you might open up a small black hole in the process. Keep CERN on speed dial just in case!
The pin does not have to be removed to adjust the tension. Mike
No. There is lacquering on top of this hinge. If you do powder coating on it direct, the coating is easy to be peeled off due to the lacquering.
