Yes you could. It might be little heavy duty for a bike. It would weigh a lot and might be difficult to manage.

Would it be possible to buy the links without then being connected? Single links?

I suppose you could but you would have to cut every other link to get single links. It would be tedious process.

Used to anchor a large umbrella against the wind in combination with tent stakes and nylon rope. Withstood 50 MPH+ wind in our North Texas storm that took down trees, chimneys and entire roofs. Upper support pole anchored with chain to the shed, umbrella anchored with ropes.

Chain - It has links - they are connected the size is very close to the stated 3/16" It's a little overkill for my needs but they were out of what would have worked. I put it on a porch swing - the roof will probably cave in before the chain breaks.

Good chain, I had bought one for my bike and it still in good shape and strong enough to keep someone from stealing my bicycle. I like that I could get the length I wanted because I like to run the chain thru both tires and the frame as well as the bike rack or post I am using.
