A:  It will pump toilet paper out. Mike

A:  German Thank you for your question. This pump is designed for Sewage and works as a lift pump, pumping solids, toilet paper etc.. through the line to either a city main sewer line or to a septic system. The type of pump you are referring to is called a Grinder pump. If this is for a residential basement, the Sewage Ejector pump will be the pump you will want to use. You do not need a Grinder pump. Especially if you are pumping into a septic system. Regards, Everbilt Customer Service

        Worst experience with this pump
thinking it is 3/4 horsepower, bought this model to replace another brand of 1/2 hp. replaced and only last one day, the float switch failed. thought not lucky. returned and get a new one installed. the same thing happened. It is a waste of time and money. returned again. what a bad experience!

We are sorry to hear of your experience. These pumps are tested prior to use and we use the best reliable switch on the market. This pump uses a piggy-back float. Were you able to verify that the switch was bad? What size of basin are you using in your application? If the switch doesn't have room to "float" to the on position, then the pump will not turn on. Please contact us directly as we have multiple questions on your application. It is highly unlikely that both switches were bad and we would like to help you in your application.

Unit disassembled itself within 30 days of Install.
I purchased this unit on or around January 16th 2021. I installed it using the included vague directions. On 2/14/21 the unit stopped pumping all together. The bolts holding the motor and impeller to the bell housing backed out and the impeller couldn't create any lift because water was being sprayed all over the sump pit. No where in the directions does it say to tighten the pump housing bolts. THIS IS NOT HOW I AND MY WIFE WANTED TO SPEND VALENTINES DAY!

            Alex,
Thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear that you had an issue with the Sewage Pump. What size of basin are you using? Any sewage application requires at least an 18" x 30" basin size. Positioning the pump in the basin so that the float can operate correctly without hanging up on the side of the basin is critical. This pump comes with a piggy-back switch so that the pump can operate manually in case of an issue with the float switch. Please contact our Customer Service Team for additional information and help.

Thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear that you had an issue with the Sewage Pump. Can you please provide us with more details on what the issue was? This pump is all cast iron and has a vortex impeller to prevent clogging issues. It also comes with a piggy-back style float switch so the owner can determine if the switch is faulty while still being able to run the pump manually. Please contact our Customer Service Team for additional support.
