I would like to use 2 of these to attach a shelf to a wall, can it hold 20lbs?
Asked by: babbydabbydoo
well, I recently realized these corner brackets are not meant for hanging shelves. really meant to connect wood at right angles (see pix). also they are not very attractive, depending where you want to hang them. I try and use anchors for any kind of bracket, especially in plasterboard. my best guess would be that 2 brackets could hold the 20 lb weight, if the shelf is not very long.

Can you use these to attach furniture to the wall so it won't tip over?

Can you use these to attach furniture to the wall so it won't tip over?
Asked by: Mike
Yes. I've done that to hold my bed headboard to the wall. Chose the properly sized corner brace and placed horizontally on my headboard leg and onto the wall. Keeps headboard upright at the wall so it appears to be part of the bed frame.

How much weight / force can these support?

Understanding that this will have a levered affect, how much weight can be supported? I would only have a slight overhang, so the total width of the side would be 2"
Asked by: Nick
this will depend on the screws the type of wood they go into and the weight center, that is the farther the weight from the braket the less weight it will support.. that is just my opnion...
