Asked by Sandy January 14, 2021For this application, I would recommend the 1" insulation, which has a nominal Inner Diameter of 1-1/8". This 3/4" pipe size has a nominal inner diameter of 7/8" and would not fit a 1.1 inch tripod leg.
Can I use heat tape with this product
Asked by LarryG January 8, 2021I would not, but if you do only at a very low temperature. A 60W incandescent bulb when very close melts the material.

Asked by Joe August 18, 2019It definitely will protect against ambient heat temperature or radiant heat from the sun. The exterior of the foam may heat up but does not transfer through the insulation.
What is the water vapor permeability value for this product?
Asked by LWone August 7, 2019The polyethylene is water tight but when you cut the slit to install the insulation that creates a small area for moisture to penetrate. If that is a concern Home Depot has an insulated tape that you can over wrap the insulated foam with.
