    Q:How do you get the pins out of these hinges? It says the pins are removable, but the things won't budge. Is there something I am missing here? Any help would really be appreciated. Thank you.

    A:  To remove the pin be sure that the hinge is in the open position. You can use a hinge pin punch, or nail and hammer method to remove the pin by tapping it underneath the end of the hinge. There is a hole under the false cap or we also carry a Hinge Pin Remover tool reference: Internet #318058091 Model #28630 Store SKU #1006702800. Please also note that removing the pin may result in loss of some of the grease which may impact the squeak-free performance over time from the Everbilt 3 in. Oil Rubbed Bronze Square Radius Squeak-Free Door Hinge.

      great little hinge.
      Great hinges, they are squeak free, and feel lubricated when open and shut. they feel like a good solid hinge and are not thin or bendable. they also come with the mounting screws. I was going to use these but was told I needed to use a 5 inch tall hinge for the building code.

      Additioinal Alternative Would Be Nice
      It would be nice to have a hinge that offered a removable pin. My project requires removal of one side for additional milling. This hinge requires you to remove the actual hinge thus knocking the entire thing out of its original alignment. WIth a removable pin, the parts remain attached to the two hinged parts and they can be returned to the same alignment as before by reassembly of the two hinge parts using the pin

      The pin was extremely difficult to get out. I had to use an extra long nail and pound it through the bottom to get the pin out. Doing this while attached to the door frame leaves error to knick the wood frame with the hammer. Better off placing hinge in a stationary secure vice grip to pound out the hinge pin.
