Everbilt provided the classification. It most likely was designed for use with long handled garden tools but certainly isn't limited to that. I can think of numerous uses for this piece including hanging lengths of pipe for future use. You could hang it in a utility for brooms and mops. Also in a work shop for various tools.

OK I got this replaced. The "manufacturers" is Home Depot. Even went back and forth with warranty on this. Home Depot were the ones to contact on this. The BIG THING that really makes this awful for everyone is that there is no "meat" under where the screws are mounted. I ended up matching up 4 nuts that take up this space. Really this space should be taken up by this organizer. Would save many people from headaches.

What are the measurements from screw hole to screw hole?

Asked by Screwball July 24, 2017

Screwball, there are 4 holes and none will line up to 19 3/8 There is2 1 inch each, left and right of center. Then a hole 1 inch from each end. So since it's 36 inches long the center is 18 inches and places the middle holes at 17 and 19 inches. This will work best if you cut a piece of 1 x 3, 361/2 inches long. Mark the location on that board, mount that board to the studs and then mount this to that board.

The weight of the tool pulls the ball down and pinches it to hold it. It works pretty good.

I located the studs and found only 2 that i could use while the other had to use an anchor. However, the included screws are too short to drill through the drywall and to the stud. luckily i had some wall anchors/ longer screws(EZ ancor Twist n lock 75 lbs that i bought before for mounting wall shelves. those worked perfectly. However, i did use the included washers. After installation, i placed a shovel , a steel edger, broom, dethatch rake, a garden hoe, a landscape rake, and a sweeper on the organizer and it held up fine.

These tool organizers were exactly what we needed. Each one holds several long handled tools as well as the smaller hand trimmers. When attached to the wall studs they are very sturdy snd secure.

A pretty good tool hanger, but the plastic hooks will not accept much stress, so they will easily pop-out. I installed two of these end-to-end. I first mounted a 2 X 6 board directly into the wall studs, then attached the tool hangers to the 2 X 6.

Melted and deformed on my shed wall

I purchased 2 of these units in October 2019 and installed them on my new shed. The item performed well for the fall and winter months but as soon as it started warming up (I live in Phoenix, AZ) the plastic started to soften, deform, and warp until the screw holes holding the unit to the shed stretched and broke away from the screws (see photos). I keep a couple shoves, a broom and a rake on one unit and some other similar tools on the other. Both units are failing with one having come off of the screw. Certainly not what I would consider "heavy duty."

First off I want to say that this mount is heavy duty and does hold many heavy tools as long as you don't put them on the hooks. I bought this heavy duty wall mount organizer and installed it in my garage for my garden tools but on the first day I installed it one of the hooks broke off. Which was very disappointing since it took me a while to hang it and the screws that came with it to attach to the wall are worthless, because this product is heavy so it can hold many items as long as you mount it using heavy weight anchors.

This hanging organizer was easy to place and works ok. I have used it for all our mops, brooms. Swifers, etc. The only thing I did have to do was add some tape on some of the handles because the grip would not grip certain handles, mostly metal. Other than that very satisfied.

I put this in my shed to hang tools on. It lasted 1 month. I went out to find all my tools on the floor. If you look closely, the mounting holes are located too close to the top. There just isn’t enough of the cheap plastic to hold the weight of 25lbs of garden tools. The holes ripped clean out. It might be fine to hang a few kitchen brooms and dog leashes, but who needs 3ft and 12 compartments for that? But to claim it will hold 50lbs...I think not.
