Questions & Answers

Can these be used in brick as long as the appropriate faster is used?

Looking to have a hook like this used in my brick pillar on patio. Would this work or is this for wood only?
Asked by: Ken
I used them in wood, plastic, and concrete, but not in bricks. I have no problem with the wood. But with plastic and concrete, they come loose because the plastic and concrete give out as wind moves the Eye that is attached to things like tarp and equipment in trailers, back and forth. So if you can figure out the screw part to keep it sturdy in extreme movement, it will work.

I plan to un-roll a projector screen toward ceiling. The heavy screen case will be resting on a TV console. Using eyebolts and pulley or ratchet rope, I plan to pull it so it unrolls towards ceiling. Because the brunt of the weight is supported by the tv console cabinet, I figure I do not need heavy duty eye bolts. Anyway, would like DIY'ers opinions if this #4 eyebolt will do the trick. Thank you.
Asked by: MoctodHD
Yes as long as you dont hang the heavy part of the screen
