Lightweight and sturdy, but raccoons easily unlatched; will have to have a second or different style to keep the door secure. Otherwise, it was easy to install and use!

I used these hook and eyes to hold my shed doors open. I secured them on the inside of the jamb and they work great, unless it is a gusty day (30mph+) in which one of them bent. I straightened it out on my vise and reinstalled.

Sturdy and well designed
This is what I used this purchase for. Rather than reach up and slide the bar on the pneumatic door closer on my side garage door whenever I want it to stay open, I screwed the eye into the inner portion of the door. Then I separated the hook and eye parts, attached the eye to a stud close to the door, tied a piece of nylon cord to the hook and the eye part and was able to keep the door open by simply dropping the hook into the eye on the door. The length of the cord can be adjusted so that the door stays fully or partially open.
