Q:It appears the adjustment will have to be flipped tk the bottom for a right handed door. Is that the assumption that this hinge is flipped upside down? It says nothing about handedness.

      A:  The included tension rod and pin are used to adjust the tension on the Everbilt 4-1/2 in. Square Satin Chrome Adjustable Spring Door Hinge. Use the rod to adjust the tension in the desired direction and the tension pin to set/lock in place once the desired tension is reached.

        A:  That's exactly what we want. We have a dutch door that we want to keep the top half open, but not have it move with the wind. We plan on finding a way to shove something in between the doors to keep it open, but it will have constant tension so wind won'

            Installed two of these on a door from the kitchen...
            Installed two of these on a door from the kitchen to the garage. They matched what I replaced exactly so that made the install pretty easy. The door is a fire rated door and has three hinges. I mounted these top and bottom. I had to set them about 3 turns to get the door to close all the way. The bottom hinge makes a slight knocking noise when opened. Mar 2023.
