The Louvered Dryer Vent Kit is ideal for venting clothes dryers or 4 in. bathroom fans. This kit includes a 4 in. louvered exhaust hood, a 4 in. x 8 ft. dryer transition duct and 2 plastic adjustable clamps. The Louvered cap included with this kit has a UV resistant coating to help prevent it from discoloring in the sun and it's also paintable to match the exterior of your home.
- Cap has a louvered damper system that helps prevent cold air, rain or snow from entering the home
- Cammed louvers on the cap help prevent them from sticking
- Louvered cap features a recessed caulk line to assist in a clean caulking application
- Flexible aluminum foil dryer transition duct in this kit is UL 2158A listed and marked for safe dryer venting

The previous owners had vented the dryer indoors and humidity lowered the dew point for the air conditioner in the summer. I had to run the dryer vent outdoors and this kit was perfect for that. Everything was in the kit to make this an easy install. The only issue is I had to drill a 4.25" hole to accommodate the vent, and the metal sleeve tended to pop out of it's channel so I wrapped a layer of duck tape to hold it together securely.

I recently purchased this clothes dryer kit from Home Depot...
I recently purchased this clothes dryer kit from Home Depot and have only installed part of it as I have not purchased a new dryer yet. The installation was very easy and I would recommend this item.
