4 in. x 8 ft. Semi-Rigid Dryer Duct With Clamps

I was originally going to order a kit that included elbows, clamps and a hose for the small space I have to hook up my dryer, but buying this item and an elbow separately was half the price, and was exactly what I needed! The hose seems to be very durable compared to the last one I had. My only issue was trying to get the clamps on but I ended up getting one to work and just used aluminum tape on the other end.

Just the Product I needed, Works Great!

I ordered this 4-inch by 8-foot Semi-rigid Dryer Duct in hopes that it would be a good replacement for my existing black rubber dryer vent hose. The problem I encountered was that it is hard to get this semi-rigid style to neatly collapse when you push the dryer back into place. It would work well in situations where you don't need it to get shorter as you push the dryer back into place or where you have easy access to the back of the dryer from one side and you don't need any sharp L bends. In my case, my dryer's vent connection is directly below the vent tube that exits the wall to the outside of the house. Hence, the duct needs to collapse from about 6 feet in length to just 10 inches or so with opposing L-shapped bends. The semi-rigid design just doesn't work well with this arrangement. I had to stick with my existing black rubber duct that I made from a piece of 4-inch dust collector hose. I would still recommend this semi-rigid duct when you have the right conditions for its use.

Nice semi ridged vent that is easy to work with. Simple to make turns with good flexibility. Semi ridged construction for durability and long life. Comes with 2 stainless clamps for attaching to dryer which is convenient,.Eight foot long which I needed for my install. I used this with a new Everbilt dryer vent hood to replace an old beat up vent. Good quality at a fair price.

This Everbilt dryer vent duct is a quality improvement over the thinner foil type. It is made with metal bands that are semi rigid and flexible. It can curve around corners. There are two clamps included to hold connections. The standard four inch diameter will work with electric and gas dryers. It is eight feet in length which may be enough for right out the wall behind the dryer, but spanning across the attic or basement would need more length.

There is not a lot you can say about a dryer duct, but I will say this is easy to work with. Provided that you don’t stretch it too far, it will do well at NOT collecting lint inside. I have used these in numerous places and they always seem to work out well. They can be cut if needed and it comes with 2 clamps for new installations. I obviously used too much on the install that I have pictured, but it is not going to be at this location very long before the washer and dryer are moved to a new home. Again, if you don’t pull out excess, it will stay pretty smooth inside. They work as well as any other duct out there, except solid duct of course.

Semi-rigid duct stronger than plastic, but not close to metal. If you're looking for a solution that's stronger and more fireproof than flexible plastic, this will be a good option for you. Don't expect it to come close to a metal vent. Although it's listed as 8 feet, I could only stretch it to just under 6 feet. In stretching it, I put several dents into the duct. This dents easily, so you have to be very careful.

This 4 IN. X 8 FT. SEMI-RIGID DRYER DUCT is just like a regular dryer duct hose except the semi-rigid part. That makes is a little easier to work with and you don't have to worry about tearing or puncturing it as much. I really appreciate the fact that it comes with hose clamps. Those large hose clamps are surprisingly pricey if you have to buy them.

We used this for the connection from our dryer to the vent that goes through the attic to the outside. This is on a stacked washer/dryer combo, so it is important that the dryer vent has some flexibility to it. We used aluminum tape rather than the clamps provided. The clamps tend to work loose through time. the tape provides an air-tight seal that stays in place.

The Everbilt 4in. x 8ft. semi-rigid dryer vent duct is a nice duct to have on your dryer. I use this semi-rigid vent duct on my dryer without having to install any elbows. This is a nice duct to use in tight spaces and is crush-resistant. I like this semi-rigid duct better than the flexible type because it keeps better airflow. The duct is easy to cut with tin snips and is easy to install. This duct comes with 2 worm gear clamps and I like the quality of Everbilt products.
