I got the 5’ dryer flex kit for a rural home that I’m working on. The kit has pretty much everything you should need for a dryer or other mid sized gas appliance. This length works great for most applications where the unit needs to be moved in order to reach the shutoff or make connections. It has adapters for most situations and bubble solution to check your work.
As a plumber I cannot stress enough the importance of FOLLOWING THE PRINTED INSTRUCTIONS!!! If you are not 100% sure that what you are doing is correct then CALL A TRAINED PROFESSIONAL to complete the job.
Since my intended use is for an outdoor installation I am going look for a different flex that has brass fittings and hose ends instead of the plated steel ones that come with this kit. I feel the salty air will excessively corrode the plated parts.
This is why I gave an average quality rating.
Not sure why I was asked about efficiency so I gave 5 stars

This is a convenient way to get all the pieces needed to plumb you gas dryer to your gas source. Everything needed, including pipe sealant and leak testing fluid is included. I do recommend adding a valve approved for gas on the supply line this kit will be hooked to allow turning off the gas to your dryer without shutting down any other gas appliances. Plus the added benefit of this kit is the automatic shut off in the event of the line getting broken, preventing a potential catastrophic explosion!

This gas dryer connector kit is a must have parts kit to install a new dryer. This kit by EVERBILT was designed for use on a gas dryer because of its size and gas flow rating. Other kits by this company are also available for gas ranges and furnaces. The kit includes a flexible stainless steel connection line that is 48” long, along with a variety of flair fittings required for your installation. It also comes with a roll of Teflon tape for sealing the threaded fittings and a small bottle of leak detection solution. A unique part supplied in this kit is an automatic gas shut off fitting that is designed at a particular flow rate that is specifically rated for your dryer capacity. If a leak is present that flows more gas than your appliance requires, it automatically shuts down the flow of gas, making it much safer.

This kit comes with everything you need to hook up a gas dryer to your existing gas supply line.
The coated line is 5’ long and 1/2” OD.
it comes with two ends attached to the line to hook up your dryer and also includes four extra fittings to help you determine which size is right for your application one of the fittings is an auto shut-off valve, also included in the kit are pipe thread sealant and a tube of leak detection solution that you put on your connections to look for any possible leaks.
This kit that I have #1004 061 233 is rated for appliances up to 53,200 BTUs. Yours may vary but as far as gas dryers go this kit should do the trick for you.
The materials used are all very well made.
The kit includes basic instructions.
Obviously hire a professional if you are not comfortable installing this kit.

This is the second product I bought for my gas appliances and the quality I experienced were excellent and very dependable. It came with all the adapters to fit most appliances and also came with auto shut-off valve for safety, thread tape and liquid ampule to test for leaks. I definitely recommend this product for weekend DIYer. The product is very durable and will last for many years.

Gas Dryer Connection kit. In short this is a coated gas line with install fittings to complete the hook up. Included is 1/2” Od coated gas line that is 48” long. 1/2 inch MIP Auto shout off valve, 1/2 “ MIP Tapped 3/8” FIP fitting, 1/2” FIP fitting, 3/8” MIP Fitting , a leak detection solution and pipe thread sealant. If your’e going to go out and buy the individual parts as needed your better off with this kit. You won’t use everything but the individual part do add up quickly. The coated hose is as expected and rated at 60,500 BTU. The fittings are smooth fitting and go together without issue. Enough fittings for most gas dryers. Also the pipe tape and leak solution is a nice touch to the kit making it complete.

Wish I could give a rating lower than 1. The Home Depot person who sold us the dryer assured us that the connector kit was the correct one we needed. However, when the installer came, we were told it was the INCORRECT SIZE. The installer used one of his and charged us $20 compared to the $41.98 Home Depot price tag. This is just one of numerous disappointing encounters with Home Depot recently. It seems many of the people working there really aren't very knowledgeable about the products they sell.
