My home is surrounded by a county preserve and has a large deer population which eat landscaping. That required a high fence and numerous gates to keep them out. I used this Everbuilt heavy duty gate hinge to replace a poor quality hinge that broke on one of these gates. It has a heavy galvanized plating for much needed weather protection in my humid Florida climate. It is strong and sturdy. The metal thickness is equal to that of a quarter. It swings very easy as there are special bearings that prevent metal to metal contact. The screw holes are offset for additional holding power without splitting the wood. The only issue I had was the mounting screws were supposed to be included but were not. I recommend this latch as a good buy for many uses where you need a quality hinge.
