A: Not sure what you are trying to accomplish,but this vent has one way flow. Air flows out from tube through louvers and flow is blocked from coming b a ck through louvers when closed

Attractive cheap vent

Needed to put in a 6" exhaust for my dust collector through block wall. This was much more attractive than the aluminum rectangular alternative that was 3 times the price. I did have a bit of trouble with the duct. It didn't want to stay snapped shut so use duct tape and wasn't an issue. Wife and I were both happy with final outcome and I no longer need the dust bag or assembly taking up room in my workshop. Also no longer need any kind of filter to worry about breathing in particulates as they go directly outside. The dust collector also seems a bit more quiet with the exhaust venting outside.
