Does work for 1 3/8”!!!
I’m adding another review to help everyone out with a 1 3/8” inch doors. It does work it just doesn’t explain it in the instructions. And the door hangers have a #1 and #2 on them. The #1 has to go on the inside door and the #2 has to go on the outside door, this will give them plenty of distance so the doors don’t hit

Does not work for 1 3/8”
Bummer I didn’t read these reviews before I installed the doors and I can’t slide the doors past each other as there is not enough room. I noticed that the track was not as wide as my other one that I was replacing and so now I have to take it all down and go find new hardware.

Be sure to read instructions carefully. Item 7
I used this set to replace my old set which had a damaged track due to mal adjusted doors and off track episodes with jamming by previous owner which caused dents in the track which I was unable to fix. The track in this kit was 58.5 inches which required no cutting to fit my finished opening of 58.75.
The instructions are vague when it comes to describing the hangers. Unlike my old set, this set has two different "offset" measurements. Be sure to read item 7 of the instructions. The hangers with the 7/16" offset must be mounted on the door which will install first nearest the inside of the close. VERY IMPORTANT STEP.
The adjustable hangers made squaring the doors to the edge quite easy. I now have a nice smooth operating bypass door set on my closet. No more "bumpity bump".

Everbilt, you suck.
I have no problem with the overall quality of this product. BUT, as an amateur carpenter/DIYer, I absolutely hate it when there's a BIG mistake in the instructions like this one. I spent 2 days installing these doors, convinced I was doing something wrong before I came to the Home Depot site to see if I bought the wrong thing. Low and behold, I was not the only one whose doors would not pass each other & I ended up scratching my doors trying to force them to fit. This could be such an easy fix for this company, but no. Read the other reviews for advice on how to remedy the bi-pass issue. Hopefully it won't suck up 2 days of your holiday weekend! Now to go try to fix the damage....
