Yes it was the correct cable for my 7’ tall door.
The tail end has a stop on it which typically slots into the cable drum.
It's 8' 6 1/2" from inside loop of eye to inner end of stop. I just measured it. It's a torsion spring cable designed for a common 7' garage door installation. Mine broke, and this is nearly identical to the length of the one that's being replaced (I'm replacing both, only one broke.) Remember to get some 1/2" steel bars to de-tension the springs.
its OK but should be tight from top ring. I used it and its save, should be tension.
There are 2 cables included in the package
This is NOT a safety cable for a tension spring, it's a lift cable for a torsion spring door.
I saw this part number in the store tonight and the picture matches the contents of the package.
This cable is adjustable, so you draw the cable up according to the instructions and the length you need for your individual door.
The item title is deceiving. It is not for an 8 foot door, it is an 8 foot long 96 inch cable.
