I decided to install a door pull on the barn door of the shed I was building instead of using the slide bolt as a handle. It matches the hinges perfectly and is suitable for the intended purpose. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is the handle is somewhat shallow such that you cannot get an adult hand fully between the door and the handle. I can insert my fingers part way but not get a full grip on the handle.

I bought this as the Buy of the Day. It is a solid piece of metal and has a nice coat of paint. It is repeatedly described as 'Decorative' (which it is), but for me, it is only mildly functional. I have it on a solid wood sliding stable door and it looks great (see pic), but ... I can not get four fingers under it. I can only get past the first knuckle with three. So, I can not get them in deep enough to clench (see pic). Also, it has a sharp edge on the under side (see pic). It is like a dull knife; not sharp enough to cut you, but uncomfortable to pull into.
This is 5 Stars, if you only want decoration (i.e. you have a garage door opener) or moving something that takes little effort to move (e.g. a well balanced gate) or have small hands ... but 1 Stars if you have big hands and trying to move something heavy.

The Everbilt Black Premium Decorative Garage Lift Pull is heavy and well made, with a powder coat finish for good looks that should last a long time. The screw holes are countersunk which allows for a cleaner profile. Screws are included! Although it is sold as a garage door pull, I will be using it on a barn door I am installing in my master bath. It would also make a great gate pull.

Although this item is listed as a decorative garage door lift pull I am using it as a sturdy handle for my wooden garden gate. It is a strong pull and coated well and comes with the screws needed for installation. Installation took less than five minutes with a power screwdriver. I fully expect this handle to last the life of the gate and perhaps even on a new gate when this one is replaced.
Work great on our barn doors. Sturdy and look nice.
