The Everbilt Black Thumb Latch is not recommended for double gates as the catch should be mounted on a minimum 4x4 post.
Its a little fussy. You have to make sure you line up everything just right ..because the back of the handle has to be inside the gate (because its thick) in order to line up with the lock
No, not that I see.
By "dummy" pull, if you mean the old style string - there isn't one. Doesn't need it. The bar that catches the latch on the inside of the door is "open air" so you just push down on it to release and the door is free to open.
This latch should work with any depth. Use the appropriate fasteners for different gate depths.
It does not have a locking mechanism you have to use a gravity latch
The left side of the webpage has a picture showing how the padlock would attach to the latch. The installation instructions are also included to the right of the Product Overview. In order to lock the latch, you would need to slide the latch bar.
You’re right! We have the same issue.
Bob, probably not, but it's cheap. It'll fall apart after a couple of years regardless of what it's attached to (mine did), so you just have to buy another and celebrate the opportunity to have a new shiny black gate latch.
Yes the door can swing in
