The length of this door stop is 5 inches.
We do not sell just the separate rubber stopper, the entire door stop would need to be replaced.
My metal door is hollow, so I had to use hollow-door anchors. The best screws to use are the ones that come with the anchors.
No you are not able to adjust any sort of tension .. But the stopper has a very positive stop in the upright position. should not have an issue.
yes The rubber shoe can be bought separately. Just remove the old shoe and bring it to the store for a sample to make sure you get the exact match.
At best, it would only delay a break in. The rubber tip wouldn't resist a heavy assault. There are better devices designed for security. You might want to ask Home Depot personnel for recommendations.
Placed a doorstop rubber shoe flat on the floor lean the top part where you screw it to the door up against the door and mark the holes where the screws need to go. So when you kick down the door opener down the rubber shoe Sits flat to the floor on a angle.
No replacement tips... Would be nice to be able to purchase only the rubber tips, as my puppy made fast work of it thinking it is a chew toy! Had to buy a complete new replacement.
