You could, but you'll need to cut off the handle if it doesn't fit your chuck.
It will get straightened after multiple uses, the spiral formation will not deter from cleaning your vents.
Hello and thank you for your question. The width of the vent brush is 2 in.
I am not sure why she could not sell it to you. I was able to go into the store in my town in Tennessee and had no issues. We ordered it from the Home Depot website and had it shipped to the store. It works well for dryers and the cleaning of pool filter tubes.
My experience leads me to believe they are defective. The plastic is low quality.
Hello Denny, thank you for your recent inquiry with The Home Depot. We have looked into your question and have determined that the item is in stock currently and can be purchased on the website the stores no longer carry it. We appreciate your business and look forward to serving you in the future.
If you clean from the outside all it will do is drive the dust & lint back into the dryer. Disconnect and clean from the dryer out.
Maybe to keep debris from duct, from going into dryer. When disconnected, often dust flows out.
I had a Dyson V8 and while it was working, I was able to use the dryer vent cleaning kit, but the attachment was not clean as the dyson has click in attachments. I ended up duct taping the dryer vent hose to the Dyson to keep a tight seal, and keep it from falling off all the time. Next time around I used my smaller shop vac it worked much better. Good luck. BTW, my laundry room is on the main floor so I had to work on mmuch longer dryer hose.
If my vacuum just fine
No. You may find some use for the long handle brush. The other parts are not suitable.
this fit my regular vacuum
This fit my regular vacuum with no problem
The maximum compatible pipe size is 4 inches.
The vacuum connector is NOT standard diameter and does NOT fit either machine that I have? Shark and a Hoover. I had to wrap with duct tape to attach. The flex extension seems to work fine.
The inside diameter of the vacuum attachment piece is 1 1/4". See the photo.
It is not "standard" as I see from the reviews, and from my experience. I have 2 Miele Vacuums - it did not fit either one.
it is a small size and not standard. It may not fit all vacuum cleaners.
The vacuum hose connection is 4".
is there anywhere you can disconnect the duct to split it into two parts? That's what I did
We would recommend installing the Everbilt 4 in. Dryer Lint Clean Out Connector (Model # DC4HD6) at 10’ length which is roughly the mid-point of your duct. This will allow you to clean out each 10’ length with the Dryer Lint Removal Kit. Alternately, you can purchase 3 (three) Everbilt Drill Powered Duct Brush Kit (Model # PCPBHD) and connect them to each other. We recommend taping the rod joints and brush head so the don't come apart inside the duct.
Go up on the roof or send someone up & run it down from there. !0+10=20. then blow it out with a yard blower. although a foot less it will no doubt get Most of the lint out. Or pay $45.(here anyway} & have someone do it for you. Considering the risk of a fall injury may make sense.
You will have to insert the unit from both outside and disconnect on rhe inside and insert the unit into the pipe in the basement to use this particular 10 footer. I have used a 25 'drain snake with the brush duct taped to the end succesfully also with better results.
The brushes sort of work. The tube collapses when used as described in the instructions, helps slightly when used with a leaf blower instead.
