The valves were very handy!
These were very handy. I was replacing a tall water heater with a shorter one, and these gave me just the additional length I needed to reach. The fact they each have a shutoff valve is bonus. The fitting on my expansion tank was not sealing, so I had a little drip. With these, I was able to shut off the cold water inlet, then shut off the hose going to the tank inlet. That let us remove the expansion tank without having to shutoff the whole house water.

Will work on all 3/4” hot water heaters
The hoses are great. However this particular product will require some creativity to fit on a Rheem hot water heater. The hoses will not thread directly to the hot water heater which results in you needing to make some sort of adapter. The reason being is that the rheem hot water heaters pipes are lined with a plastic coating that sticks past the threads. See in picture attached. The compression fitting adapters that come with this kit are also junk. Do not rely on them. Likely to leak on you. Buy either shark bite 3/4” with mnpt or the standard 3/4” mnpt copper fittings. Once you get past those two issues the product aka the hoses are great. Flexible allows for some misalignment verses trying to use straight copper pipe. I give this product 3 out of 5 based off the two issues I had. I’d give the hoses a 5 out of 5 though.

Does NOT fit ANY Rheem hot water tanks!
This Everbilt braided hose will NOT properly fit onto Rheem (and perhaps other makes) water tanks because the Rheems have some sort of thermal plastic insulator that rises about 1/4 inch higher than the metal threads -- just enough to prevent the Everbilt brass nut (with a new washer inside) from properly engaging the METAL threads. Due to the taper on that white plastic insulator, the Everbilt brass nut will NOT tighten down on the plastic threads either. Everbilt needs to make the brass nut nearly twice as thick, so it can reach the metal threads and engage more than just 1 or 2 turns -- better to engage at least 4+ turns for something that must be tight like this.

Plumbing Connections were the easiest Part of the Water Heater Installation using this Kit. It only took us 30 minutes or so to install this water heater and turn the water back on. That is including new breaker and wiring for the W.H.

      Simple to use kit
Has nice stainless water lines, easy to screw on, plumbers tape included, looks sharp when done. Use for electric water heater hook up to both hot and cold lines.

Poor quality - installed by Kamaaina Plumbing (contractor used by Home Depot). One of the two lines leaked for 3 days until Kamaaina came out on Monday to replace. Very inconvenient to shut off water to the house during tge night, and to empty the plastic bin every hour. Product was defective, installation was fine
