These were easy to install into old windows as the screwholes matched the 90 year old sashlocks. They seemed a little thinner and some of the reviews made it sound they were easy to break -but I think they'll do the job. Don't depend on them for heavy duty use but for normal window closure They will be fine.

Doesn't Lock - Too Loose
This does not pull the two sashes together tightly. I replaced some old rickity sash locks, thinking this would tighten up the windows and reduce drafts, but these latches still allow 1/16" play between the upper and lower sashes.

Product works, though this is an oil-rubbed bronze colored paint with no variations. It is not actually oil-rubbed bronze.

Cheaply made
They look nice and are cheap, but after buying 5 of these and having 2 so far snap off just in normal use after 4-5 weeks, I'll be replacing them all. Unless you are using these for really light duty, it'll be money down the drain.

Decent looking sash lock. Purchased to replace current one since it wasn't fully locking to close window. However, the sash locks look identical but are not. This one is shorter. I didn't realize it until I tried to install this and noticed the 2 pieces were not locking together.
