Zinc-Plated Solid Door Stop

Might be designed as a doorstop but repurposed as a hanger for my garden tiller. Well made, hefty and takes good size bolt or HD screws to secure. Hold 50lbs of weight easily. Simple to use, had acquired to act as a stop for an outside gate, but as winter came needed to use as the clip for my electric garden tiller. It was perfect. Going back for another one to do same with electric lawn mower. Recommend without reservation

The Everbilt Zinc-Plated Solid Door Stop is a thick, sturdy piece of hardware. It would definitely block and hold your door from swinging out too far. The only reason for failure could be if the attachment to a surface was weak. The difficulty here, is that no screws were included. In fact, the size is not suggested. Since the size screws are unknown, I looked at the size of drywall screws for comparison. They are definitely too small. I will have to go find hardware, and will probably do best taking this piece with me to custom fit.

This 1/4” zinc coated steel door stop is useful for securing outward opening doors when attached to the inside of the door surface. It prevents the forcible pushing of the door inwardly and the pulling of the door outwardly when 2x4 or 2x6 lumber is placed into it. The steel is approximately 1/4” thick. The sun coating if exposed to moisture will eventually rust so painting may be necessary .

Super sturdy to get the job done. Holds a two by four or other swing latch with ease. This will get the job done if you intend on holding your large gate with a 2x4. The eased top allows an easy swing down. There's plenty of room for the 2x4, but not too much slack. Just right. The actual thickness of the stop is 1/4". That's thick! It is great security for pole barns, garages, tool sheds or any place you need to be secured. It is one a quarter wide and three sixteenths thick, it is heavy duty and eight inches long. It will except a standard 2 x 4 for blocking.

This spring I have to redo my rear entry into my garage. As part of a security feature I chose the Everbilt zinc plated solid door stop for part of my updates. This bracket is very heavy and solid. It'll accept up to a full 2 inch wide board and installation is simple enough for any handy person. This will give us the security we need for walk in door ways.

This Everbilt Zinc-Plated Solid Door Stop is the perfect solution for making a barricade door lock for our basement door. It has a regular lock on it, but it would be a simple matter for someone to kick the door in. I plan to mount this Solid Door Stop to the door with stove bolts, with the rounded head outdoors. On the other side, I plan to mount a Everbilt 2 in. x 4 in. Zinc Plated Stake Holder, also available from Home Depot, the same way.
