Product Overview

The General International Excalibur Series 16 in. variable speed scroll saw has a unique "Tilting Head" design providing a stable platform when cutting straight or on an angle. Unlike other scroll saws where the table is tilted for angled cuts, the entire head of the Excalibur tilts 45°; to the left or the right. This allows the user to better control the work piece on a flat table surface, for a more safe and accurate cut. Solidly built upper and lower parallel arms keep the blade straight with minimal blade deflection allowing for precise cuts. Changing blades is a snap No tools required it utilizes finger operated blade clamps. Excalibur's upper arm lift is ideal for threading the blade through fret work. Easy access speed and tension controls. Features a 120-Volt, 1.3-Amp constant torque permanent magnet motor. Onboard dust blower. Stand sold separately.

Answer

Hi Jim. Thank you for your question. It does not appear that the Excalibur-120-Volt 16 in. Tilting Head Variable Speed Scroll Saw comes in a 240-volt version. Although The Home Depot does not ship individual packages to Australia. We can only ship by the pallet. It is possible that the parent company: “General International” may be able to ship to you. The can be reached at: http://www.gipowerproducts.com/contact-us/ or you can leave a message at 844-877-5234 A voltage converter may be needed for this unit. Please let us know if we can be of further assistance. Rick_HD_OC

Yes. This saw is (except for the newer EX-16 model) the best scroll saw made. Quiet, almost no vibration, can cut about anything with the right blade.

Used garbage
Unbelievable, I purchased the 21” and it broke first hour of use ($900 with stand), returned it. This 16” arrived today, the machine is clearly used, the plate is beat up. Home Depot, why are you stocking expensive broken power tools? Pics from straight out of box, scratches and wear and tear.

Upper arm was so stiff that I couldn't move it. Customer service told me to spray with WD40. After a while it loosened up. Fast response by customer service. Dust extraction worked very well but dust port cramped the area of the lower blade holder. Slows considerably during cut of even thin wood. Motor is described as constant torque. I'll have to take their word for it. No major complaints.

Being doing scroll work for 20 years, already own an older Excalibur EX-19 which is a great saw. Order this as my primary saw. First day of use the top blade tightening knob stripped completely out. Contacted Excalibur, no help. Eventually I ordered the Seyco 21 inch saw, few dollars more but excellent customer service and great saw. I have cut several pieces on it and now love the feel of the saw. Great product.

I originally rated this saw as 1 star because it arrived damaged. I am happy to revise this review to 5 stars. Mark Easterwood from General International tracked me down and contacted me before I even had the chance to contact Home Depot about the issue. This is a company with outstanding service
