A Most Impressive System

I installed an ultraviolet water disinfection system for my well and needed a sediment filter upstream from the UV filter. My well water tastes fine, but I opted for the 2-stage Express Water system rather than the single system. I liked having a second filter canister and I liked the fact the 2-stage system mounts on a stand. The system is not lightweight even without water inside the filter canisters. It is apparent that Express Water takes pride in their products even before you open the box. The filter system was one of the best packaged products I have ever received. The box is substantial and durable. The filters and stand are well protected inside the box by stiff foam padding. They use quality materials and the addition of the pressure gauges is a plus. I have some plumbing experience and found installation to be simple. I would not recommend that a novice attempt to install the system as their first project; however, you do not need to be an expert. I have had the system operating for about two months and it is functioning as intended. I have a 40-micron strainer upstream from the Water Express 5-micron filter to remove any “larger” sediment before the water hits the finer Express Water sediment filter. I saw no drop in water pressure when I installed the system and have not noticed any drop in the ensuing two months of use. I am very pleased with the quality of the product, ease of installation, and operation.

The filtration unit is made very well and sturdy. The product was packed very well and protected for shipment. I just received the unit and have not installed yet. It was well beyond my expectation, when I opened the box. Our city water has dirt/sediment and chloramine. This combination is perfect for taking care of both. I shopped for 1 month, before I decided Express Water filter. Other companies twice the price for the same results.

I bought this whole house water filter system for several reasons: --2 filters (I knew I needed a sediment filter, and although my well water is currently good tasting, having another filter housing to tackle a future need is handy) --Gauges included (would have needed to buy a bunch of additional tees and gauges otherwise to be able to see when I'm getting a significant pressure drop pre vs post filter) --1" inlets/outlets (since my house has 1" water pipes) It's only been a day since I installed it, but I'm very impressed so far. Installation was easy, no leaks. I watched the sediment filter turn brown before my eyes as I re-pressurized the system--it's doing its job! Ran a bath for the kids tonight and the water's never been clearer.

Good so far

So far so good on the filter. It was easy to install and within a day the filter is already brown removing what would have normally gown threw to our house. I would give 5 stars but havnt used it long enough to be confident with it.

Such a Great System

I've had nothing but good experience with this 2-stage whole house system. Filtration has been great and my water has tasted markedly better since installation.
