can this be used underwater in a wall fountain to keep an electrical connection water proofed?
Hi tainbey. This connection is “Weather Resistant” for rain and snow, but it is not water proof. You would be better off using the electrical PVC to keep your electrical connection water proof. Please let us know if we can be of further assistance. Rick_HD_OC
Absolutely NOT. This is not a waterproofing type device. It shields connections from moisture caused by rain and lawn sprinklers; it acts like an umbrella, not a submarine.

I may have overlooked it but I don't see anything about what guage wire fits inside the shield.
I know for sure 14-3 gauge cord will fit fine but not sure if 12-3 gauge cord as it is a thicker extension cord.
It has a flexible seal at each end. It should accommodate any size cord, up to at least 10 gage.
can this be buried below ground level?
I would not use the product for direct burial as water could seep into it over time and then be trapped. It has no gel filling to surround the connection.
