Will this suit protect me from auguring septic lines?

Will this suit protect me from auguring septic lines?
Asked by: BaconWizard
Sure. But they are a bit baggy, so be aware that you don't brush against the auger line and wrap yourself up in it...I usually just wear my regular insulated Carhartt jeans and jacket when I run the auger because the sewer always seems to stop up in January. When you are augering out the drains, you really don't get that dirty. Most of the mess ends up on your leather gloves or goes on down the line. These are really intended for jobs like lead or asbestos abatement, or spray painting. But being disposable they are good for any sort of messy one off job I keep one in the spare tire well of each of the cars in case I get a flat tire when I am trussed up in a suit and tie.

DO THESE COME IN ANY OTHER COLOR THEN WHITE??

DO THESE COME IN ANY OTHER COLOR THEN WHITE??
Asked by: GREG
I doubt it. They are disposable and intended for jobs like lead or asbestos abatement. It needs to be obvious that they have been used. Making them in color would hide the contamination and might tempt a sleazy operator to try to reuse a contaminated coverall. Definitely not GQ style!

Extra Large Heavy Duty Coverall With Hood is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 15.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stylish I spent a couple hours up in my attic wiring up some lights while wearing this suit. All i can say is that not a single piece of insulation was able to bother me. It is cold outside right now, so I am not sure how hot the suit would make your body. I don't think it would be too bad, it seems breathable. This suit could be used for other uses, such as painting or any situation where you do not want your cloths to get ruined. The material is kind of a thin nylon type texture. It can be re-used over and over again.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from definitely covers up, feels thin but does the job Does a good job covering your body. I used it for a paint job. It's a bit thinner than I thought, but it does what it says, covers you up. Got a bit hot inside of it but I'm a sweaty guy to begin with.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from If Only I had Shoes to Match I wanted the set with the included booties, but I must say that it is still much nicer than I imagined. It is soft and breathable, but strong. It can be torn, so watch out for sharp objects, but no worse than a t-shirt as it does have some give. I bought this for working in my attic which has blown in fiberglass insulation and it kept it out of my hair, arms, legs and clothing. It has elastic at the head, wrists, and ankles. I wish the zipper were a little more hefty, but its works smoothly with no catching or jamming. I'm not sure how many times I can re-use it, but it is still higher quality than I expected. If I do rip this one, I would buy another. Very comfortable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Comfortable and Liquid Resistant Coveralls. I just installed a new metal junction box in the attic for a ceiling fan., and used the Trimaco Heavy Duty Coveralls (with Hood) while rolling around in the fiberglass insulation. They are comfortable and held up very well. I plan to reusing them for protection against poison ivy while clearing a hillside. The coveralls are breathable and tear resistant, and made from a non-woven, liquid proof polypropylene material. They have a plastic zipper going from crotch to hood, which makes it easy to suit-up and remove. The coveralls also have elastic bands at the wrists, ankles and hood. These coveralls are perfect for all sorts of tasks where body protection is required, such as panting spraying, applying pesticides and fiberglass work. Highly recommended.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great protection for clothing without being too hot I have used this coverall mostly for painting projects. It serves me best for large areas that I can cover more quickly with a paint sprayer. The coverall blocks the paint from your clothing/skin and does not allow it to seep through. Despite being durable and having elastic bands I didn't get overly hot other than the sweat I was working up from the job (I didn't feel like I was in a plastic bag). It has held up well so far and does not tear easily. I will definitely get another whenever it wears down.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Kept me clean I recently used this Heavy Duty Coverall with Hood at my paint project at home for staining my deck. I was able to move freely, as they are light and comfortable to wear. I am tall and the size of the coverall was nice and they are very light and comfortable to wear. They can be reused again.

This worked well enough for what we needed (a large dumpster needed to be cleaned out). It kept most of the dirt out overall and was nice to be able to just get rid of it when we were done. If need be we would get this again.
