NOT clear Epoxy
Purchased this to coat a faux marble top counter. Followed directions exactly. After a few hours noticed the counter appeared yellow. Waited 24 hours and realized my counter was ruined. Will be asking for a refund and then spending hours to repair.

This epoxy worked for me and i am pleased. It wasnt too thick nor to thin. The instuctions were ok but i would watch hep videos if you havent done it before. I had read the reviews and saw a few negative ones about curing and was concerned. I also saw online warnings about having the right ratio and the right temperature. After watching a few videos i chose this epoxy because the store near by had it and i only needed a quart. I mixed the whole quart because i wanted to make sure the ratio was correct. I used 2 mixing containers as they sugested even though i had thought it wasnt needed. I come to realize later that the bottom of the fist container under the hardened epxoy was some sticky shuff that never cured properly. Thats the reason for 2 mixing containers. On my project i used a dam and it worked great.

Nice performance, good price point for a first project.
Review and tips, from my first project – caveat emptor on the tips. Based on comparison shopping, Famowood is priced competitively and it performs well. As others note, closely follow the instructions, slow, small circular stirring helps prevent air bubbles. If you are pouring a table with sides, let the material ooze down the sides and then smooth the sides; continue to smooth only the sides every 15 to 20 minutes for a few hours to ensure runs don’t turn into beads –I used a sponge brush, I think a small sponge roller would be better. If you get beads, you can sand down between coats. If desired, 2nd coat can be put on when the material is still tacky to the touch; just don’t get too aggressive spreading the 2nd coat and disrupt the first coat. The epoxy self-levels nicely, don’t be tempted to overspread, spread and let it level. Hot gun or hair dryer gently applied removes air bubbles. Clean up was no fun for me due to a small work area, but rubbing alcohol works well. I’d use again, photos included… gave myself a B+.

          Fly Rod Wrappings
Used this as the finish epoxy finish on fly rod wrappings. Turned out perfect, crystal clear and smooth. Did the typical two coat application and it perfect. Highly recommend this product to rod builders. Key is getting 1-1 mixing ratios, then you're golden.

                good stuff but specific
Used this to turn butcher block into a long double computer desk. Like the instructions say pour slowly and mix tightly (small circles vs huge circles) trying not to create air bubbles. After leaving it to try and using it I am able to put drinks, hot cups/plates on it and nothing has happened.

Great product with great results if you follow the directions, I used it on a kitchen island top I built and the results were so good I decided to use it on a guitar I was building and the results again are astounding though admittedly the guitar was a bit more challenging to pull off.

Easy to work with, the two parts mix well. Not much odor. I have added colorant to it with no issues. The only negative is that it has a very thin viscosity after mixing, others I have used produce a thicker outcome..overall tho a very good product.

I used this product in a craft project. I made ceramic tile coasters and wanted them to be water proof and heat resistant! It did take more than 24 hrs to dry in my garage. I like that I could use as much or as little as I want. I now have more for other projects.

                    perfect in every way
Follow. The. Directions. This kind of stuff is like baking. Too much of this or not enough of that will ruin it. Measure your parts exactly. "Close enough" isn't good enough. I used 3 containers like it required, I mixed for 6 minutes set on a timer, I mixed it the second time with a thermometer and stopped at exactly 90 degrees. poured it immediately, spread it out and hit it with a heat gun to pop bubbles. 20 minutes later it was still viscous enough to pull out a piece of debris I found. The shine is flawless. I personally used this to add a clear layer of protection over top an arcade control center I'm building. I dammed up the sides with tape, and after a few hours when it was really tacky, I took the tape off. This helped to soften the edges, and prevent me from having to sand the edges like it shows in the video for this product. Anyone who rates this product poorly, did something wrong.

This kit is as described and worked as expected. The directions are clear, but MUST be followed exactly. This is not an easy process so if you are someone who uses the instructions as just a suggestion you should use a simpler product. I would have given 5 stars if the two containers had exactly the same amounts so it wouldn't be necessary to measure the initial pour. The vanity surface I treated three days ago has cured fine, and dust free and tack free was in the time listed. I wish I had seen the directions that mention the softness of the surface, so it remains to be seen if it holds up to daily use as a bathroom vessel top vanity.

After some of the review I had ready I was skeptical of using this. However, I ran short on a large table and needed more epoxy in a pinch to do a second flood coat and couldn't order any in time. I was pleasantly surprised at how great this looked after it hardened. I was very nervous as the table was a rather expensive one to make (made from live-edge hickory slabs). I almost emptied both bottles to make a combined 8 oz of epoxy. This covered the 36"x120" table and looked great and thick. After pouring I used a heat gun to go over everything and remove bubbles. I had few to begin with after mixing and they all disappeared with the heat gun. My shop is not heated so it took longer to cure than I expected (its winter right now). I used a squeegee to spread the epoxy around the table which helped me get the surface pretty uniform. This epoxy was easy to mix with very few bubbles, easy to pour, easy to remove the bubbles with heat, and cured to a mirror-like finish! I am extremely happy with this epoxy and recommend it for projects!

Works very well for a flat surface. It is very self leveling. It takes a day to really harden to work but gives you lots of time to apply. Hardens very clear. It also has very little smell and has not caused any headaches. My go to epoxy for flat work. I use it for art work and have added stain to get color.

Very easy to use the product and the finish project looks great! Took an old table and refinished it. Then took a lot of old ticket stubs (football/baseball games and concert tickets) and used the clear coat to cover them. Table will be a great conversation piece for my son.

I have used this now 5 times and love it. Easy to use and looks great. I have used the expensive kind and see no difference in quality. It says to mix for 6 minutes then 6 again in 3rd cup but I mix 10 minutes in same cup and have had no problems. Just make sure scrape side well and bottom.

This stuff is amazing and very easy to use. A couple of cautions while using this product is to make sure your area is well covered so that none of the product drips onto something because it will adhere to it and it is difficult to remove. If it does get on something remove it immediately using mineral spirits or something similar to it. Secondly, when more than one application is applied it needs to cover the entire surface. You cannot go back and apply a 2nd coat to just part of the surface once it has dried. It will stay clear but you will be able to tell where you start and stop. This product is designed to cover the entire area every time you apply a coat. Outside of that it is incredible stuff and very easy to work with.
