I was surprised when I opened the box because each mat had an extended piece of rubber with a pair of holes in the top. They got cut off, but it seemed strange. The 2 small ones for the back seat were in one piece, to be cut apart. After cutting the holes off and the 2 back ones apart, we laid them into our van to protect the carpeted areas. They cut very easily with a scissor yet seemed very sturdy. There was a surprise included in the box of mats. A silicone mat for the dashboard. It feels sticky, and does stick to the dashboard, yet is easily removeable and leaves nothing on the dash. It stops sunglasses or phones from sliding, and it works. I used the FH Group 4-Piece Black Trimmable Rubber Floor Mats in my 2013 Jeep Wrangler. It was super easy to trim the front mats to fit the Wrangler. The back mats fit perfectly without trimming. The front mats are super long so they extend from the seat mounts all way up to end of the carpet under the dash. The mats are made of heavy-duty rubber, but they were easy to cut with my shop scissors and they seem to be durable and made to last. The specially designed ridges are deep to trap water, dirt, mud, sand and to save the carpeting in your car from any damage. The bonus silicone anti-slip mat will come in handy to hold things on the front dash.

These mats are universal and can be trimmed to fit most cars. In my situation, I did not cut them because the little bit of extra material on the sides of the front mats gave me extra protection going up the sides of the footwells. I like how the material is sturdy but yet very flexible so as soon as I fit the mats in, they laid nice and flat. I feel ready now to be able to keep the mud and rain that the spring brings away from my carpeting and collected in the embedded channels. The rears fit perfectly as well. They are a rubber that is easily trimmable to fit your car, but at the same time, thick enough to protect the foot areas in your car. I took a picture with a tape measure so you can get an idea of the size. I have a 2022 Hyundai Tucson, and the front and back mats fit my car with the need to trim them! The mats also came with a small (5"x6" silicon anti-slip mat) that you can place on your dashboard and it helps to keep you phone from sliding off. This small silicon matt is easily removed and doesn't leave any residue.
