Product Overview

The FIMCO 6-Outlet 1 in. Indexing Valve indexing valves offers a reliable and economical way to automate multiple zoned irrigation systems. This Hydro Indexing Valve has 1 inlet and 6 outlets which are all 1 in. slip fit. Simple design ensures ease of installation and maintenance.
  • Requires a 3/4 - 1 HP pump with a 5/8 - 1 in. city water meter size and a 10 to 24 GPM flow rate (not included)
  • Valve is recommended for use in an irrigation system driven by city water
  • Can run from 2 to 6 zones based on the chosen cam configuration (3 and 4 zone installations require a special 'white' cam)
  • 10 PSI min pressure rating, 1 in. inlet/outlet, and requires 10-25 GPM flow rate
  • Manual and automatic operation
  • An anti-siphon valve (not included) is recommended and may be required for safe operation of the FIMCO hydro indexing valve on a city water installation
  • Only use clear PVC cement (not included) and allow the valve 2 hours to set before subjecting it to internal water pressure, do not use fast setting blue glue as it will rapidly deteriorate the ABS plastic used in construction of the indexing valve, purple primer is similar and must be used only on the PVC pipes and not the valve housing
  • FIMCO 1 in. 6 zone valve comes with an included 5 zone cam and can be used as either a 6 or 5 zone valve depending on how it is cammed
  • FIMCO 1 in. 6 zone valve requries a 3/4 to 1 HP pump 5/8-1 in. city water meter size and a 10 to 24 GPM flow rate
  • Great alternative to individual solenoid valves
  • 1 valve can replace (6) 1 in. solenoid valves
  • 1 above ground FIMCO valve controls all zones eliminating the need to dig into the ground to locate electric solenoid valve boxes

Questions & Answers

If you only use 5 zones how do you close off the 6th zone.

If you only use 5 zones how do you close off the 6th zone.
Asked by: nottoday
You will need to install the 5 zone cam that comes with the product. Make sure that you use the O-rings from the exsisting cam or else the valve will leak. The instructions are in the manual that comes with the product.

I’m replacing a different brand of indexing valve, can I select which ones are the 5 ACTIVE outlets in the FIMCO indexing valve when using the 5 cams?...instructions just tell to ‘pipe the ones directly below a number”.... but does not say if there is a way to select the inactive pipe.
Asked by: MGS
I ended up installing it already, the inactive pipe coincides with the one I’m replacing...(perhaps a de facto standard among manufacturers?). In any case, the only thing that “selects” the position of the cam selector is a small indentation. This, looks to me, can be easily be filed allowing you to orient the cams the way you want...understanding you need to manually position the cam selector correctly
