Dirt is highly abrasive. Much like sand paper is abrasive to wood, dirt is abrasive to tools and the like. That is why chainsaws always say not to cut down into the dirt because it dulls the blades so fast. Another issue is the soil will be wet. The most can cause the skins to decay. If I can add, I do agree with you, I like how they feel.

I accidentally bought a large...way too big. So bought a medium because no smalls available..fits, but still too big, but making them work. . I suggest a small because they will stretch. In normal ladys gloves i tend to get larges, because i havr long fingers. But, this..i would like a small. I am about 5’7”

Disappointed
These gloves felt so good and comfortable when I tried them on, but wore out after only a couple of weeks of yard work. I wore through the leather on one finger and then the stitching came undone on the index finger and reinforced leather on the palm. Useless when you’re index finger pokes clean through. I won’t be buying this brand again.

Shoddy quality
These gloves leave a lot to be desired. Some of the fingers fit, others are too long. I can live with that, but the stitching is weak. After 10 or 12 uses of light to moderate work a seam will fail somewhere on the glove. If you have an awl, strong thread, and patience, that's great. You'll need it for repairing these gloves - multiple times.

I have little hands and it’s hard to find gloves that fit. The pair I have fit as well as any pair of gloves I have had. Great protection and fit!

needs improvement
These are great gloves but come apart much too quickly and at the same spot every time. The thread used for stitching where the thumb meets the palm always fails and the seam opens up even when there is tons of life left in the rest of the glove.

Tired of wearing out cotton gardening gloves; switched to leather. They last longer. They keep hands cleaner, because dirt and dust do not pour through them like cotton. They keep hands safer from thorns. Best part? They come in a small size. Hurray.

I used to love these gloves. But, this last pair came apart at the seam near my thumb within the first two weeks. Poor stitching.

These are my go-to yard work gloves. I do a lot of yard work at home and I couldn't remember the brand or where I bought these.I found the model number inside and Googled. turns out they're a HD brand so I ordered two new pair. They last quite a while and mine had survived numerous washings and wear and tear. They're comfortable and endurable. They're good for light to heavy-duty home yard care work. And I ordered 2 new pair because the price is so reasonable.

Unbelievably terrible stitching. The fingers will come undone in a matter of weeks with light use. This is my second pair of Firm Grip work gloves and they all seem to suffer from cheap materials and poor craftsmanship (fingers wore through quick on the first pair as well). You'll be better off spending a little more on a more durable brand.
