Hi there — if your duct boot opening is 6 x 12, you’ll want to go with a vent in that exact size. A 6 x 10 would be too small and could restrict airflow. We recommend confirming that the 6 x 12 size is a good fit for your HVAC system by checking the airflow specs on our website.

My current wall vent cover is 7.5"h x 11.5"w. What size would I select for this opening?
your current opening is likely 6"x10"
Our general rule is that if your measurements are half a size or less over, you can round down. Unfortunately, we don't have any products available that come close to a 7 x 11 size. You could consider upgrading to the 10 x 14 option, but please note that this would require replacing the duct boot entirely with a 10 x 14 version. We also recommend confirming this change with an HVAC specialist before making your purchase.

How do you close the vent
This product remains fully open as it does not include dampers, so it cannot be closed. For options with airflow control, our Luxe line features built-in dampers.
