The FLEX-Drain 2 in. x 3 in. x 4 in. Polypropylene Downspout Adapter offers polypropylene construction and a flexible design that can bend to fit tight spots and curved spaces. This adapter fits 2 in. x 3 in. downspouts on 1 end and 3 in. and 4 in. corrugated pipe and 4 in. PVC piping on the other end.     The picture is trying to show that it slips inside, its just for drainage. The water should only flow down in one direction so as long as the pipe where the water is coming from is inside the pipe it will flow out of then there will be no leakage if its draining correctly. If you put it on the outside water would leak out the sides. It should just fit with minimal effort but if its giving you trouble, using a Heat Gun evenly apply heat to soften up the pipe so its flexible enough to fit. It will harden back to normal once cooled, same applies to getting it on downspout. A coupler would prob work too.

    YES, it worked fine for me with downspout actually 2-1/4 x 3-1/4. If you are shopping for these in store and have any doubts: measure your downspout before you go, then go to the store with your tape measure, find one of these and then go find a downspout piece that is same size as yours (probably in a different section for gutters and roofing) and try slipping it over the downspout (not a "crimped" end meant for fitting inside a full-size downspout end).

    Easy to install...Plug and play sort of say. I use this product to extent the downspout at the outlet end to re-direct the drain water away from original location. The black color also matched the rest of my black drain assembly. The material of this product looks and feels very well built and durable.

    Quality is as I expected. There is no extra length if you use in a 90° application. You might need to screw to the downspout as the fit is a little loose.
