Good evening. It dries into a hard rubber like material that can expand or contract depending on the temperature.

Can this be used on an active water leak?

Asked by Bodyman61 October 28, 2020

Answer

Good Morning, thank you for reaching out. Yes, Flex Glue can be used on an active water leak as long as there is no pressure involved as it will lower the adhesion properties. Please make sure the area being sealed is clean and free of all dirt and grease. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at any time at Humans@flexsealproducts.com. Take good care.

Asked by Coolgirl July 6, 2020

Answer

Flex Glue works well with glass and with PVC which is typically what the top layer of the convertible is made. For best results, start with a clean surface free of grease, oil, and dirt. Apply liberally to one of the surfaces to be bonded and apply firm and constant pressure for a minimum of 10 to 30 seconds for instant grab to take hold. Some application may require bracing. Please let us know how the project goes at humans@flexsealproducts.com and happy flexing!

Couldn't even fix kiddy pool.
Bought this product to repair the small hole in my child's pool. It would bearly stick to the pool surface and the water pressure just blew through it no matter how much I applied. Reuse takes a great deal of effort as the tube refuses to allow flow after a single use. Overall, a poor product.

Good afternoon. We're sorry for the experience you had. Although Flex Glue has many applications, but we wouldn't recommend it for sealing a kids pool. For that, we would suggest using Flex Tape. Please message us through Humas@flexsealproducts.com so that we can better assist you. We look forward to hearing back. FlexSealProducts

this is clear sticky glue that works well for waterproof needs. i used it to seal back down the piece of rubber that goes under my bilco doors and the seal around the window panels. also it finally help down the attachments to the shower for hooks and such. it will stick to your fingers so have a big wet rag to remove excess since you will need to apply liberally.

I have read so much about Flex Glue and seen the ads on TV so I decided to try it. I have a rather large hole in the log siding of my cabin where the HVAC and condensate lines come through. After cleaning out the hole, I filled it with Flex Glue. The outside temperature was @ 50 degrees and I wondered if it was too cold, because the glue was extremely hard to push out of the tube. I used a hair dryer to heat it up and that helped. This hole was large enough that it took almost a whole tube! The picture does not do it justice. It dried clear but the light reflected makes it look like it is full of air bubbles. It is not.

Overall I really like this product. It's exceptionally hard to squeeze out - I had to cut the nozzle a second time to get it to flow - but after it's out of the bottle, it's very easy to spread. It has no noticeable odor and dries clear. Once it has set up, it forms an incredibly strong bond. I used the product on two pieces of 2x4 just to test its strength, and try as I might I wasn't able to break the two pieces of wood apart. Any exposed adhesive has a very nice rubberized texture after drying. A great product for a wide range of applications.

Under the right circumstances, this might be a great product. I didn't have success with it, however. I was trying to put back together the broken blue jeweled box in the picture. The product is a thick gelatinous substance that was hard for me to get out of the tube. It bonded immediately as advertised, but it was not a strong enough bond to hold the pieces together and did not dry completely for a long time. It is also very hard to get off your hands and required a strong turpentine to clean the adhesive off my hands. It would probably work well if the objects being bonded were larger and clamped together until the adhesive dries. I think the product is a good one, it just doesn't work very well in this tube method of applying unless you have very strong hands.

The FLEX GLUE CLEAR 4 OZ. STRONG RUBBERIZED WATERPROOF ADHESIVE is exactly what you’d expect from the people who brought you flex seal. If you’ve ever used that product, you know it’s a quality product that works well for bonding or sealing anything where there might possibly be water at some point. The ability of this product to adhere to materials and provide a waterproof and watertight seal is great and should be used for cracks, holes, etc. In any number of applications- boats, sinks, gutters, rvs, etc.

We have been dealing with water getting under the edge of the sink in the guest bathroom and I have been concerned that it may cause water damage or mold if left too long. I also had need for the glue to seal around the windshield on our boat. I have used the Flex Tape on a number of projects and thought this would be a good time to see how the glue worked. The product comes in a box of 6 cartridges and this particular unit is clear, which makes it nice to allow it to be used on different colored objects without showing a contrast. The glue goes on pretty much the same as any silicone or latex caulking and dries clear. It is overpriced in my opinion based on other sealants available but it is holding and is flexible. I have used two tubes already and it does cover well.

Amazing Glue. So I received this glue and was reading the package when I dropped my favorite coffee cup on the granite counter top and well you can see by the pictures that it was a goner. I thought lets see how the glue does so I put the mug back together with the glue and it did a great job. I also looked it up and it is food safe. Now I won't be using the mug for coffee because I'm missing a couple of small pieces but I thought it ended up being a pretty good test for this glue. I was impressed. The glue was not too thick and bulky and it is clear. It is strong enough that I can use the handle and it supports the weight of the ceramic mug and this is a pretty good size mug.

This glue works wonderfully. I have used it to fix a number of little things around the house including my favorite shoes. I sealed a small area in my shower, sealed a leaky corner on my lanai, and sealed in my sink. It requires 48 hours to seal completely per instructions and 7 days to fully hold. My shoe sealed in 24 hours and I was able to wear it out with no issues. I recommend using liberally. It seemed to work better when applied that way. Requires a gun to use.

This is a great Flex glue product. Easy to use and hold in one hand. I was surprised at the control you get from the tube design. This is a strong holding glue that is clear and waterproof. It dries very quickly. Holds strong and stands up to the elements without a problem. I used it on wood, plastic, clay and tile. I have not had a failure in this product ever.
