Answer
Yes, just note the weight of what your hanging. The product will carry it but the drywall may not.If what your hanging is heavy, it's best to secure to a stud. If it's not too heavy, this will work great. I won't guess on what's considered heavy because of all that goes into deciding, sorry.

Drill a half inch diameter hole through the gypsum, push the toggle through the hole until it self-adjusts, pull gently on the plastic semicircular tube & slide the collar onto the hole (part of the collar will be inside the hole & the lip of the collar will rest on the outside of the hole), then snap off the excess plastic. Place the item you intend to attach to the wall over the hole & align the hole in the item to be attached with the hole in the gypsum. Then gently push the steel screw through both holes until you encounter slight resistance. Then, using only your finger tips, gently turn the screw clockwise until the threads of the steel screw engage the threads of the steel toggle (metal threads engaging metal threads). After the threads engage, tighten with a screwdriver to your satisfaction. If you want to remove the item later, simply remove the screw. The toggle will stay in place. If you want to fill the hole, just push the semicircular plastic tube into the wall cavity & fill with joint compound.

The anchors seem to work well. I wasted the first one when I tried pushing it through the hole while holding it at the end of the plastic sleeve farthest from the metal piece; the plastic sleeve bent and snapped apart. After that I grasped the sleeve as close to wall surface as I could get to minimize bending in the sleeve and had no more issues. They seem to hold well enough and much better than plastic drywall anchors.

They hold like they should but will snap off too easily. Lost quite a few inside the walls for
the project we were using them on. Good rule of thumb...if you think you need only four buy at least double the amount so you don't have to make a return trip.

This is my preferred toggle of this kind. It is a huge advantage to be able to install the bolt then remove it to install whatever bracket or other item I want to hold up with the toggle bolt. And the weight rating makes me confident that I can put up a TV mounting bracket without worrying about the bolts failing or tearing out a chunk of the wall.
At the same time, I know there are places where the walls are literally to narrow to use these bolts, because the interior of the wall doesn't allow the toggle to flip.

The ratcheting plastic sections is a little too brittle and occasionally breaks off upon insertion into the wall, wasting an entire fastener. The guide collar could also be a tiny bit bigger across considering the size of the hole needed to insert the toggle.

Bought these after viewing a video that said these were good for for use with metal studs. Not a good idea! The sharp edges cut right through the plastic. And it gets caught in the insulation with sheetrock walls. I'm going back to good old metal toggle bolts.
