11 in. x 11 in. Composite Deck Block 4 in. Center (4-Pack)

I wish I knew about these blocks before I built my backyard platform deck!!! I love this system and it's so much easier to work with. Level your yard if your deck is ground level and put down pea gravel to keep grass and weeds from growing through your deck boards. For my 8x12 side platform deck, I will need 30 blocks for 16" joist spacing. Unfortunately, Home Depot is backordered on these so I can't show a picture of my final deck yet. I'm using the smaller 9" square blocks at ground level so I'm not using 4x4's, but the 2x6's fit across the blocks very snuggly and the cross beams butt up to the other 2x6's well so I can easily screw them in. See pictures for more details about the preformed board grooves. Make sure you use water rated boards if you're building a platform deck on ground level. My grandson likes to put on shows for us so I'm also thinking of using these for a small "stage" in my basement area! LOVE how simple and sturdy these blocks are and the fact that I don't have to dig dirt or use concrete for stability makes these a perfect product!!! It's a more expensive way to build a deck but the time, energy and overall workload I would have to go through to build the deck the traditional way makes the price of these blocks well worth it! I hope, when these come back in stock, that the Home Depot will stock these in their stores rather than having to place an on-line order.
